Native Plants
Oregon plants are the bees knees! It was important to us to introduce native plants into our garden in order to enjoy these plants in their natural climate, as well as feed the local pollinators and critters accustomed to them. We have devoted substantial energy to filling our garden with natives, and every day we learn more about them.
Below is a list of the native plants you will find throughout Oregarden. While you might find better photos on the internet, ALL of these photos are taken in our garden of our exact plants!! They are organized by the 5 zones identified in the Backyard Habitat Certification Program. Our habitat is Platinum level certified!
To the best of our ability, we have confirmed all of these plants are native to Oregon, as well as those on the official Portland Plant List and therefore native to our ecoregion of Willamette Valley.
